Terms & Conditions
What this is
Ex Oblivione is a curated art project that collects and preserves anonymous audio recordings, written stories, and other creative fragments. It is not a social media platform, a content hosting service, or a portfolio. There are no accounts, no audiences, and no metrics. By submitting content, you participate in this project voluntarily.
Curation, not open publishing
Submitting content does not guarantee it will be published. Every submission is reviewed by a person. We are looking for honesty, vulnerability, and creativity — not polish or perfection. We reserve the right to accept or reject any submission at our sole discretion.
This is a curated archive. Think of it as a gallery, not a bulletin board.
Your submission
By submitting content, you confirm that:
- The content is your own original work, or you have the right to share it.
- The content does not infringe on anyone else's copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights.
- You grant Ex Oblivione a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide license to store, archive, display, and distribute your submission as part of this project — including the right to generate QR codes, place them in physical locations, and present your submission alongside other submissions in any format.
- You understand that accepted submissions may be permanently archived on a decentralized storage network and cannot be deleted once archived.
Content guidelines
Content that is hateful, threatening, sexually explicit, defamatory, or violates the rights of others will not be accepted. Submissions containing copyrighted material that you do not have the right to share will be rejected. This is a space for honesty, not harm.
Permanence and QR deactivation
Accepted submissions are archived permanently on a decentralized network. Once archived, the underlying data cannot be deleted — by us, by you, or by anyone. This is a core feature of the project, not a limitation. Please only submit what you are comfortable existing forever.
However, we control the QR codes that link to archived content. If published content is later found to be defamatory, infringing, harmful, or otherwise in violation of these terms, we will deactivate the QR code so it no longer leads to the submission. The archived data may persist on the network, but we will remove the path of discovery that we control.
No guarantees
This is an art project, not a commercial service. We make no guarantees about uptime, availability, or the continued operation of this website. The decentralized archive is independent of this site and will persist regardless of whether this website is online.
Submission does not guarantee publication. Publication does not guarantee a specific audience, reach, or outcome. There are no metrics, no notifications, and no feedback loop. You submit, and you let go.
Changes
We may update these terms as the project evolves. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance. Significant changes will be noted with an updated date at the top of this page.
